"Small open ferments, large percentage whole berries, carbonic maceration, 28 days on skins, maturation in Bordeaux coopered oak (20% new). A serious cabernet for the price, one built for distance and a protein-rich food partner. Classic Heathcote poise on display, not to mention some regional down-to-earthiness with bush notes, mint and herbals, which bring added life and spice. Black fruits, cassis, cedary leaf, gum leaf, peppermint, wild herbs, cocoa and savoury leather come wrapped densely around firm tannins. Bring on the barbecue steak and chips, or wait a little longer."

"The Osicka magic at play. Or the site. Or both. Such a slinky, sultry, soft and fresh feeling cabernet. Pure fruit, dark and full of jellied berries, cola, aniseed, faint ferrous earth notes, game meat in there, a little graphite and smoky paprika. A faint burr of grippy, dusty tannin finishes, aside that, such a smooth, supple ride. Fragrant too, so much perfume, forest berries and that paprika thing. Lush, lovely and so darn drinkable, with a distinct quality to fruit and levity on its side. Gulp it."
