2020 Janots & Bos Volnay

Volnay has always been regarded as the most feminine red Burgundy wine. Its delicate character, juiciness, and fragrant bouquet are particularly striking. That said, there are significant variations within Volnay itself. Toward Pommard, which lies adjacent to Volnay, the character becomes more powerful and full-bodied.The aromas include violet, gooseberry, cherry, and spices (such as pepper and rosemary). A Volnay, while certainly a good wine for aging, is often enjoyable to drink relatively young.
